Foreign Minister heads Oman delegation to UN General Assembly

A delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, headed by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, will participate in the seventy-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

World leaders will gather to participate in the annual high-level general discussion under the theme “Rebuilding Confidence and Reviving Global Solidarity.” The focus in this session of the General Assembly will be on accelerating action on the UN's 2030 agenda and its sustainable development goals to achieve peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all.

Within the framework of multilateral United Nations meetings, the Foreign Minister will hold a series of meetings and conferences that will address the Sultanate's bilateral relations with many countries discussing the most prominent regional and international events and developments and exchanging views on ways to deal with them.
