President of Zanzibar receives Foreign Minister

Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar received this evening at his residence in Al Bustan Palace Hotel, Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.

The meeting took place within the framework of the official visit of President of Zanzibar to the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting touched on the historic relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and Zanzibar. Emphasis was laid on the mutual interest to promote these relations in various spheres, notably in economic, trade, investment and cultural areas with the aim of realising joint benefits.

The meeting also reviewed regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by: Mohammed Al Wahaibi, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Saud Al Shidhani, Oman's Ambassador to Tanzania; Ambassador Khalid Al Muslahi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, Said Al Sinawi, Oman's Consul General  in Zanzibar as well as  the delegation accompanying the guest and Abdalah Abasi Kilima, Tanzanian Ambassador to Oman.
