Arab Parliament condemns Israeli statements on displacement of Palestinians

4 January 2024

The Arab Parliament condemned Israeli statements regarding the displacement of the Palestinian people from Gaza, stressing that it is part of a fully sovereign Palestinian state.

The Parliament affirmed that the racist statements issued by some ministers from the Israeli occupation, calling for the displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip and the construction of colonies, represent a blatant violation of international resolutions of, international law and international humanitarian law. It added that such statements fuel tension and conflict in the region.

The Arab Parliament called on the international community to exert real international pressure to confront forced displacement plans, to stop the genocidal war being waged against the Palestinian people, to grant them their basic humanitarian needs, to lift the siege carried out by the occupying power and to activate international accountability mechanisms.
