Embassies in Moscow, Cairo and Kuwait celebrate National Day

The Embassies of the Sultanate of Oman in Moscow, Cairo, and Kuwait held celebrations marking the 54th Glorious National Day. The events were attended by a large number of official, diplomatic and cultural figures.

In Moscow, the Embassy organised a celebration attended by Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Oman's Ambassador to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, along with members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps, Russian officials, Arab specialists, intellectuals and business leaders. The event featured visual presentations, documentaries highlighting Oman's natural beauty and heritage, and a photo exhibition showcasing the Sultanate's archaeological and tourist landmarks. Guests expressed their appreciation for Oman’s policy of dialogue and peace and its prominent role in addressing regional and international issues.

In Cairo, the Embassy celebrated in the presence of Abdullah bin Nasser bin Musallam Al Rahbi, Oman's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League. In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted Oman’s development achievements and the evolving bilateral relations between Oman and Egypt, particularly in trade and investment. The event was attended by prominent Egyptian figures, including Ministers, officials and intellectuals, as well as Omani citizens and students studying in Egypt.

In Kuwait, the Embassy organised a celebration attended by Dr Saleh Amer Alkharusi Oman's Ambassador to Kuwait. The event saw the participation of Sheikh Fahad Al Yusuf Al Sabah, Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Minister of the Interior, along with members of the Kuwaiti ruling family, senior officials, business leaders and media representatives. The celebration also included the participation of Omani residents and students in Kuwait, adding a distinct patriotic atmosphere to the occasion.

At these celebrations, attendees extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Omani people, expressing their hopes for continued progress and prosperity for the Sultanate of Oman.
