Oman denounces targeting of hospitals and ambulances in Gaza strip

Published On: 3 November 2023

The Sultanate of Oman has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces for attacking hospitals and ambulance services in Gaza.

The attacks on the Al Shifa, Al Quds and Indonesian hospitals resulted in many civilians being killed or injured.

A Foreign Ministry statement says Oman regards this act as a continuation of war crimes and genocide and a clear breach of international laws and conventions established to protect people during conflicts.

The Ministry offered Oman's heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones.

The statement also stated the Sultanate's support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their steadfastness in the face of occupation.

The Ministry called on the international community to take necessary deterrent measures against Israel to stop its ongoing and atrocious aggressions against the Palestinian people and to actively move towards upholding international law and ending the aggression and the illegitimate occupation of Palestinian territories.
