Oman welcomes humanitarian truce agreement in Gaza

Oman has welcomed the State of Qatar’s announcement that a humanitarian truce agreement has been reached in Gaza, for the exchange of civilian prisoners and to allow the entry of more relief aid and humanitarian convoys into the Strip.

In an official Foreign Ministry statement, the Sultanate said it appreciated the mediation role of the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt in achieving this.

Oman said it hopes that this will lead to a permanent ceasefire and the resumption of real initiatives to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.
