Emir of Qatar visits Royal Opera House
His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, visited the Royal Opera House Muscat as part of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The Emir toured the opera house and received a brief overview of its sections, facilities, the nature of performances it hosts, its seasonal schedule, and its year-round programme.
During his tour, the Emir observed the architectural richness of the Opera House, where Omani cultural heritage is blended with architectural influences from various continents.
To mark the visit, the Royal Opera House Muscat presented a musical performance featuring traditional chant, the Steel Band, and the First Band of the Royal Guard of Oman.
At the end of his visit, the Emir wrote a message in the guestbook, expressing his pleasure in visiting the Opera House. He described it as a bridge for cultural, civilisational, and artistic exchange with countries around the world.
The Emir was accompanied during the visit by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister and Head of the Mission of Honour, members of the Board of Directors of the Royal Opera House Muscat, and the Emir's official delegation.
