His Majesty and President of Angola hold talks
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President João Lourenço of the Republic of Angola held an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace.
The session explored areas of cooperation and investment between the Sultanate and Angola in the areas of mining, agriculture, food security, ports, logistics and renewable energy.
The session was attended from Oman by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Interior Minister; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority and Dr Said bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Head of the Mission of Honour.
The talks were attended from Angola by: José de Lima Massano, Minister of State for Economic Coordination; Téte Antonio, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Vera Esperança dos Santos Daves de Sousa, Minister of Finance; Diamontino Pedro Azevedo, Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; Mario Augusto da Silva Oliveira, Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Social Communication; Edeltrudes Costa Lourenço, Chief of Staff at the Presidency and Dr Frederico Cardoso, non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Angola.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan and the Angolan President held a closed-door session of talks.
