Foreign Minister meets Palestinian Prime Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Dr Mohammed Mustafa, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Palestine, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting discussed developments in the Palestinian cause, the strong and growing global momentum in its favour and the need to build on this momentum at the Arab and international levels to achieve justice by ensuring the Palestinian people attain all their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Dr Mustafa expressed his deep appreciation for Oman's supportive stance on the Palestinian cause in various international forums, commending the efforts made by Oman to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

The meeting also addressed ways to enhance coordination between the two countries in intensifying the necessary support in order to strengthen Palestinian resilience, build consensus and reconciliation among all Palestinian parties, and empower the institutions of the Palestinian National Authority under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abbas.
