Tanzania: Oman and Tanzania sign taxation agreement

The Sultanate of Oman and the United Republic of Tanzania signed an agreement on the “Elimination of Double Taxation on Income Taxes and the Prevention of Tax Evasion,” as part of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Oman by Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority, and on behalf of Tanzania by Dr Mwigulu Nchemba, Tanzanian Minister for Finance.

The agreement aims to create an attractive investment environment, protect investors from double taxation and enhance transparency in financial transactions between the two countries.

It is expected that this agreement will boost economic and trade cooperation between Oman and Tanzania and open new possibilities for joint investment.
