During the visit, His Majesty met with Queen Elizabeth as well as senior Ministers and officials
The meeting discussed following up on the action plan agreed by the GCC states and the UK particularly entering into a free trade agreement between the two sides.
The two sides stressed their keenness to continue promoting bilateral relations particularly in the economic and investment fields.
The meeting comes within the context of His Majesty's current private visit to the United Kingdom.
His Majesty's visit aims to upgrade the advanced relations between Oman and the UK, to serve the two countries' joint interests. The visit will also touch on regional and international topics of common concern.
The two sides expressed their keen interest in reaching a Free Trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
During the calls, they stressed their countries' solidarity with the Sultanate while it tackles impacts of the tropical cyclone.
The Sultanate, under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, has affirmed its continuous commitment to the main fundamentals and principles of its foreign policy.
