The Deputy Prime Minister left Muscat today to chair the Sultanate’s delegation to the 31st Arab Summit, in Algiers on November 1st and 2nd.
His Highness will head Oman's delegation to the Arab summit in its 31st session, to be held in the capital, Algiers.
The summit in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was attended by the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries; the President of the United States, Joe Biden; His Majesty King Abdallah II of Jordan; President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of Egypt and Mustafa al Kazemi, Prime Minister of Iraq.
During the session, they reviewed aspects of the existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields and ways to support and strengthen the solid friendly relations that bind the Omani and Iranian peoples
The reception was held In the presence of HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and the Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
Held at Al Wasl Plaza, Expo 2020 Dubai, the ceremony began with the hoisting the Sultanate of Oman’s flag and the playing of the Royal Anthem.
