The Sultanate of Oman’s speech was delivered by His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
On His Majesty's service His Highness reiterated Oman's support for the just Palestinian cause and their right to self-determination.
His Highness thanked the Ambassador for his efforts in serving the relations between the two countries.
Representing His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said headed the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman at the closing session of the G20 summit in the Indian capital New Delhi.
In a speech to the summit Sayyid Asaad confirmed Sultanate's commitment to the international community, the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement.
Sayyid Asaad will lead the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the G20 Summit.
His Highness will represent His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik at the two-day summit, which starts in New Delhi tomorrow.
The statement speaks of the importance of strengthening political and strategic relations between the GCC and Central Asian States.
