Oman's government has successfully helped mediate the release of a number of nationals detained in Yemen, following requests for help by several governments.
In his cables to leaders of brotherly and friendly Arab and Islamic countries, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sentiments along with his best wishes of good health, happiness and a long life to them and their countries’ people wishing them further progress, prosperity and welfare.

Oman and Indonesia held a videoconference to celebrate 43 years of diplomatic relations while reviewing current and future cooperation.
In line with national efforts to promote and ease services for tourists visiting Oman, nationals of 103 countries will be exempt from entry visas for stays of up to ten days.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham has received the credentials of ambassadors to Oman.
