His Majesty reviewed developments in the Palestinian arena, reaffirming the Sultanate’s solidarity with the Palestinian people while supporting calls for de-escalation, in particular an end to attacks on innocent children and civilians.
The joint statement covers many issues including trade and investment, regional security and cooperation, climate change and the environment and regional and international issues.
In a Foreign Ministry statement Oman described the aggression as an unjustified escalation and a clear violation of international law.
Oman said the illegal practices of the Israeli authorities in the occupied Palestinian territories, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are a matter of concern to the international community and in breach of International Law
A statement urges the international community to stop the escalation, end the occupation and to work to establish a fair and comprehensive peace.
Dr Mohammed Awadh Al Hassan, Oman’s Permanent Representative to the UN said the Sultanate supports a two-state solution and the Palestinian people’s call for the establishment of their own state.

The Sultanate of Oman welcomes the values efforts made by several brotherly and friendly countries for de-escalation to halt the bloodshed between the two sides and to allow for humanitarian and relief aid to reach the Gaza Strip.
