Switzerland: economic forum

The Omani-Swiss Friendship Association, in cooperation with the Embassy the Sultanate of Oman in Switzerland, held an economic forum over two days. It aimed to strengthen cooperation and develop economic relations between Oman and Switzerland.

The event formed part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Sultanate and the Swiss Confederation.

Undersecretaries from three Omani ministries took part in the event, covering the key sectors of energy, tourism and transport. Policy makers, experts and business leaders took part in discussions on a wide range of topics all focussed on contributing to economic growth to the mutual benefit of Switzerland and Oman. Workshops were also held on alternative energy, green hydrogen, tourism and the logistics sector.
