Swiss President to visit Oman this week

Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, and his wife, will make an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman starting from Thursday.

This was confirmed in a communique issued by the Diwan of the Royal Court, which reads:

“In pursuit of enhancing the existing friendly relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Swiss Confederation in all aspects that contribute to achieving understanding and cooperation in various fields, and stemming from the interest of His Majesty the Sultan and President Berset in developing and advancing them for the benefit and well-being of the two friendly peoples,  Alain Berset, President of the Swiss Confederation, and his wife will undertake an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, starting from Thursday, 30th November 2023, until Friday, 1st December 2023.

“During this visit, a number of topics of mutual interest to both countries will be discussed, serving their common interests and consultations on current regional issues will take place.”
