Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) announced the delivery of its first LNG shipment to Shell under a new 10-year gas supply agreement.

This milestone event was marked by a ceremony at the Oman LNG industrial complex in the Wilayat of Sur. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and attended by officials from Oman LNG and Shell.

Speaking at the event, Minister Al Aufi said that the export shipment is a testament to Oman’s commitment to energy security, global cooperation and sustainable economic growth. He noted that it reflects the strong partnership between Oman LNG and Shell, which is built on mutual trust and a shared vision.

Hamed Al Naamany, Chief Executive Officer of Oman LNG, described the shipment as the beginning of a new era marked by a 10-year extension of their concession agreement with global market leaders in the gas and energy sector.

He added that the growth of Oman LNG aligns with Oman Vision 2040 and adapts to the evolving requirements of global energy markets.
