Oman sends condolences to Iraq

The Foreign Ministry expressed the Sultanate of Oman's sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the brotherly Republic of Iraq and to the families of the victims in the stampede incident around the Arabian Gulf Cup final stadium in the city of Basra. It wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Iraqi News Agency reported that the stampede among fans, which occurred in the vicinity of the Trunk Al-Nakhla Stadium in Basra Governorate, left one person dead and 60 injured, some of them critically.
