His Majesty concludes Iran visit

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Tehran this afternoon, following an official two-day visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.


His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at Mehrabad International Airport by Mohammed Mokhber, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Ehsan Khandozi, Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour); Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Iran's Ambassador to Oman and Ibrahim Al Muaini, Oman's Ambassador to Iran.


On departing His Majesty sent a cable of thanks to the Iranian President, Dr Ebrahim Raisi in which His Majesty expressed his sincere appreciation to President Raisi for the warm welcome and hospitality.

His Majesty lauded the fruitful outcome of the visit which included sessions of talks and meetings, adding that these will have a positive impact on enhancing the deep-rooted ties of friendship between the two countries to serve the joint interests of the Omani and Iranian peoples.

During his visit, His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation that comprised His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said AlAufi, Head of the Private Office;  Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces;  Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Oman's Ambassador at large and Ibrahim bin Ahmed AlMuaini, Ambassador of Oman to Iran
