President of Nepal receives Foreign Minister
President Ramchandra Paudel of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal received Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Kathmandu.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, along with His Majesty's best wishes to the President and the friendly people of Nepal for continued growth and prosperity, as well as for further progress in the relations between the two countries.
In return, President Paudel asked the Foreign Minister to convey his sincere greetings to His Majesty and his best wishes for the well-being of His Majesty, the Omani people, and the continued advancement of relations between the two friendly nations.
The meeting reviewed the course of bilateral relations between the two countries, reaffirming their mutual commitment to developing these relations in various fields to bring mutual benefits to both nations and their peoples. A number of regional and international issues and developments were also discussed.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Issa Alshibani, Oman's Ambassador to India and Nepal and Ambassador Sheikh Abdulaziz Alhousni, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Asia Department, as well as various Nepalese and Omani officials.
