President of Mauritania sends message to His Majesty

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from the Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al Ghazouani, about relations between the two brotherly countries.

The message was handed to Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, when he met today with the envoy of the Mauritanian President, Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The Ministers discussed cooperation between Oman and Mauritania in various fields and how to develop that cooperation to serve the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Almarhoon, Head of the Oman Foreign Ministry's Arab Department; Mohamed Vall Bah, Mauritania's Ambassador to Oman and a number of Omani and Mauritian officials.
