The President of Algeria arrives in Oman
The President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has arrived in Oman for a three-day state visit.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said was at the forefront of those welcoming the President on the tarmac at the Royal Airport. His Majesty greeted the esteemed guest and extended his wishes for a successful visit and pleasant stay for him and his accompanying delegation.
Present alongside His Majesty were: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Minister of the Royal Court, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi; Minister of the Royal Office, General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani; Minister of Interior, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi; Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi; Muscat Governor, Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Head of the Mission of Honou; Saif Nasser Rashid Al Badaai, Oman’s Ambassador to Algeria; Dr Mohammed Ali Boughazi, Algeria’s Ambassador to Oman; and other members of the Honour Mission accompanying the Algerian President.
Following the reception, His Majesty and the President proceeded to the hall, passing between two honour guard lines of the Royal Guard of Oman. After a brief pause and coffee, the motorcade departed the Royal Airport and headed to the hospitality of Al Alam Palace.
Accompanying President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his visit is an official delegation comprising: Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad; Laaziz Faid, Minister of Finance; Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines; Kamal Baddari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City; Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Commerce and Export Promotion; and Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies.
During the visit, the two leaders will discuss areas of cooperation and partnership that enhance the interests of both countries and benefit their peoples.
They will also exchange views on regional and international issues and discuss current situations with a view to advancing solutions for calm and stability in the region.
