Portugal: President receives credentials of Ambassador

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic, received Ahmed Bin Mohamed Bin Nasser Alaraimi, Non–resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Portuguese Republic, who presented his credentials at the Presidential Palace.

During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, along with His Majesty's wishes for good health and happiness to the President, and for continued progress and prosperity to the Government and people of the friendly Republic of Portugal.

In return, the President conveyed his sincere greetings to His Majesty the Sultan, along with his wishes for His Majesty’s continued health and well-being, and for the Government and people of the Sultanate of Oman to achieve further progress and prosperity.

The President also expressed his wishes for the Ambassador's success in his duties and for the continued development of bilateral relations.

The Ambassador emphasised the commitment of His Majesty's Government to strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and to enhancing cooperation in all areas to serve their mutual interests.
