Political Undersecretary sponsors symposium for Arab Human Rights Day

Under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, the Oman Human Rights Commission, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, organised a symposium to mark Arab Human Rights Day. The event, held at the Diplomatic Club, was on the theme of  “The Right to Food”.

The event featured the participation of Prof. Rashid Hamad Humaid Al Balushi, Chairman of the Oman Human Rights Commission, along with members of the Commission, senior officials, and representatives of relevant official bodies and civil society.

Discussions highlighted the importance of promoting the right to food as a fundamental human right and explored ways to strengthen national and regional efforts to ensure food security.
