Political Undersecretary receives Austrian Foreign Ministry official

Sheikh Khalifa Ali Alharthy,  Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs received Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal, Secretary General of the Federal Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Austria.

During the meeting the Secretary General expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Sultanate of Oman for its recent role in the release of Austrian citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sheikh Khalifa and Mr Launsky-Tieffenthal also reviewed bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields, as well as way to enhance that cooperation.

They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Christian Brunmayr, Austria's departing Ambassador to Oman and Munthir Mahfoudh Almantheri, Head of the Europe Department at Oman's Foreign Ministry as well as Omani and Austrian officials.
