Political talks between Oman and Cyprus

The second round of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cyprus was held at the Foreign Ministry today.

The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary Diplomatic Affairs, while the Cypriot side was headed by Kornelios Korneliou, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairsof Cyprus.

During the consultations, the two sides discussed the existing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, stressing the keenness of the two sides to continue developing them in various fields. They also exchanged views and consulted on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The consultation session was attended by Sheikh Ahmed  Alshanfari, Oman's Ambassador to Cyprus, Andreas Nikolaides, the Ambassador of Cyprus to Oman, and a number of officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries.
