Political consultations between Oman and the Philippines

The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines held political consultations at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat this morning.

The Omani side was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs and the Philippine side was headed by Her Excellency Maria Theresa P. Lazaro, Undersecretary of the Filipino Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs.

The two sides discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them to serve the common interests of both countries and peoples. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries.
