Political consultations between Oman and the Kingdom of Norway
The second round of political consultations between the Sultanate and the Kingdom of Norway was held today via video conferencing.
The session was chaired from the Omani side by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Alharthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while Vebjorn Dysvik, Director General of Department for Regional Affairs chaired the Norwegian side.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries as both sides stressed their keenness to continue promoting these good relations in various spheres. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The session was attended by Yousef Said Alamri, the Sultanate’s non-resident ambassador to Norway, Oyvind Stokke, Norwegian non-resident ambassador to Oman, and a number of officials of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The session took place on the day that the Saudi Foreign Minister arrived in Muscat on a short visit to the Sultanate.
