Political consultations between Oman and Switzerland

H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi the Foreign Minister held bilateral political consultations with H.E. Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Federal Council and Foreign Minister of Switzerland.

During the meeting, various aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries were discussed and ways to enhance them in the economic, scientific and cultural fields.

The two Ministers also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest, stressing the joint efforts of the two countries in supporting all peaceful initiatives aimed at promoting international peace and stability.

Within the framework of the visit, the Foreign Minister and the Swiss Minister signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the two countries' Foreign Ministries.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Balz Abplanalp Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation accredited to the Sultanate and a number of officials from both sides.
