Political consultations between Oman and Netherlands

The session of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Netherlands was held this morning at the headquarters of the Dutch Foreign Ministry.

The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Diplomatic Undersecretary of the Oman Foreign Ministry. The Netherland's side was headed by Paul Huijts, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands.

During the meeting, they discussed matters of common interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of concern to the two countries.

Within the framework of the visit, the Diplomatic Undersecretary met with Geoffrey Van Leeuwen, Adviser for Defence and Foreign Affairs to to the Prime Minister of the Netherlands for Defence, and Michel Heijdra, Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the Clingdale Institute – on the foreign policy of the Sultanate of Oman.
