Political consultations between Oman and Bangladesh

The second political consultation session between the foreign ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly People's Republic of Bangladesh was held today in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Diplomatic Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry,  who is currently on an official visit to Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi side was headed by His Excellency Masoud bin Mumin, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the session, bilateral relations between the two friendly countries were discussed as well as ways of enhancing aspects of joint cooperation in various fields, including economic, trade and investment. Views were also exchanged on various current regional and international issues.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Omani Diplomatic Undersecretary met with His Excellency Dr Abdul Moamen, Foreign Minister of  Bangladesh, conveying the greetings of Oman's Foreign Minister to his counterpart. During the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and matters of common interest were discussed.
