Political Undersecretary receives Egypt’s candidate for UNESCO Director General

Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs of Oman's Foreign Ministry received Khaled Al Anani, Egypt's candidate for the position of Director General of UNESCO.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt. The guest explained his vision for the work and goals of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), should he secure the position in the forthcoming election.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Mohammed Radi, Egypt's Ambassador to Oman and Khalid Suleiman Baomar, Head of the Foreign Ministry's International Organisations Department.
