Oman's Embassies around the world celebrate National Day
The Embassies of the Sultanate of Oman in Singapore, Cyprus, Qatar, and Ethiopia celebrated the 54th Glorious National Day by organising official receptions that brought together officials, diplomats, prominent figures from various sectors and Omani citizens in festive atmospheres reflecting the depth of bilateral relations between Oman and the host countries.
In Singapore, the Omani Embassy hosted a reception attended by Shireen bint Abdul Wahab Al Zadjali, Charge d’Affaires. The event welcomed Mohamed Fahmi Aliman, Mayor of the South East District, Members of Parliament Patrick Tay and Lim Biow Chuan, along with local officials, Ambassadors, and representatives of international and regional organisations.
The celebration highlighted the strong relations between Oman and Singapore, with guests expressing their wishes for Oman’s continued progress and prosperity.
In Nicosia, Ambassador Mohammed Abdullah Awadh Alnahdi hosted a reception attended by George Papanastasiou, Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry of Cyprus, alongside government officials and business leaders.
In his speech, the Ambassador praised the growing bilateral relations between Oman and Cyprus, particularly in the fields of economy, tourism, and higher education. He also reiterated Oman’s support for international efforts on the Cyprus issue.
The Cypriot minister expressed his appreciation for Oman’s supportive positions regionally and internationally, commending the Embassy's role in strengthening ties. The event included the presentation of Omani cultural gifts.
In Doha, Ambassador Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Albusaidi hosted a reception attended by Qatari ministers, officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and Omani students and residents.
Attendees praised the fraternal relations between Oman and Qatar. They expressed their hopes for further prosperity for Oman, and acknowledged its leading role in promoting regional security and stability.
In Addis Ababa, Ambassador Ahmed bin Bakhit Alshahri hosted a reception marking the National Day, attended by Neguss Kebede, Director General of the Middle East, Asia, and Pacific Department at Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, and business leaders.
Guests expressed their appreciation for Oman’s efforts in fostering international cooperation and praised the bilateral relations between Oman and Ethiopia.
All these celebrations reflected Oman’s commitment and the dedication of its Embassies to strengthening diplomatic ties, promoting Omani culture, and deepening bilateral relations with host countries.
