Oman's Foreign Minister meets with UK Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met today with British Foreign Minister, Liz Truss, who is on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of bilateral cooperation, partnership opportunities and the investment diversity between the two countries. They also discussed ways of enhancing and exploring more areas of economic, scientific and cultural cooperation. The two sides also touched on the exchange of expertise and encouraging trade, as well as military, security and energy cooperation.

This comes within the framework of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s visit to the United Kingdom and subsequent visits by officials from both sides.

At the political level, the two sides exchanged views on current regional and international issues. The two sides stressed the two countries' support for all peaceful efforts and endeavours which aim at resolving disputes through dialogue, understanding and commitment to international law in a manner that consolidates security, peace and stability around the world.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Al Muslahi, Head of the Department of the Minister's Office; Bill Murray, UK Ambassador to Oman and officials from both sides.
