Oman's Embassy in The Hague holds investment meeting
Oman's Embassy in The Hague, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Hague Center for Law and Arbitration (HCLA), held the fourth consultation with business owners to present the Sultanate's attractive investment incentives.
Oman's Ambassador to the Netherlands, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Alharthy, opened the meeting which was attended by around fifteen companies specialising in urban and real estate development.
He focused on the prospects for investment opportunities in Oman highlighting Oman Vision 2040 as the strategic plan to bring about qualitative transformations in all sectors.
The Ambassador stressed Oman’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and comprehensive growth which were the cornerstones of economic, urban and social planning and enabled the development of smart cities supported by the latest technology.
Ammar bin Sulaiman Al Kharousi, CEO of Invest Oman, said the main platform for marketing investment in the Sultanate of Oman – supervised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion – offered a strategic roadmap for potential investors to benefit from the thriving urban development sector.
He outlined the opportunities available to foreign investors and the ease of procedures used by the Ministry.
Engineer Ibrahim bin Hamoud Al-Waeli, Executive Director of Urban Strategy at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, touched on the initiatives for ongoing urban development in Oman.
He outlined the ambitious urban projects in the country and the promising investment opportunities they offered. He stressed Oman's firm commitment to sustainable urbanisation and comprehensive growth as shown by existing projects such as Sultan Haitham City, Jabal Al Akhdar, Nizwa, Salalah, Al Khuwair Downtown and Sohar.
Abedin Ali Marossi, founder of HCLA, discussed the legislative and legal measures and the favourable investment climate in Oman which would stimulate foreign investment, stressing the Sultanate's political and economic stability.
