Oman's Ambassadors in global meeting on economic diplomacy
The Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MCIIP) organised a meeting for Oman's Ambassadors in Europe, the Americas and Africa via video conferencing.
The annual meeting held under the theme “Building Integration and Partnerships to Activate Economic Diplomacy,” formed part of joint efforts to achieve the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
The meeting aimed to enhance efforts to attract foreign investments to Oman and to promote Omani exports in global markets by improving cooperation between Oman's Embassies and the Invest in Oman platform, a national tool for supporting investment promotion.
Ibtisam Al Farouji, Undersecretary for Investment Promotion at the MCIIP, highlighted the importance of coordination and integration among relevant Ministries and institutions to position Oman as a global investment and trade hub. She emphasized the need to unify efforts to achieve economic diversification and sustainability.
The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen partnerships between government bodies and the private sector, explored strategies for attracting investments, and identified new opportunities for Omani exports. Participants underscored the significance of activating economic diplomacy as a tool in achieving Oman’s aspirations for sustainable economic development.
