Hilal Al Ghefeili
Production Programming Lead in Bahja and Rima Fields, PDO
Shortly after his MSc in Chemical and Process Engineering in 2014, Hilal began his work at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). PDO aims to energise Oman and develop carbon capture, utilisation and storage technologies. Hilal leads the Bahja/Rima Production Programming team, and serves as the Energy Transition Coordinator for the South Directorate OSD, contributing to PDO’s decarbonisation strategy.
Hilal represents Oman at international conferences and his work has earned him awards, including the President Gold Award for innovative oil-water separation using nanotechnology, the 2022 Oman Petroleum & Energy Show Award, and the PDO Green Award.
