Omani-Saudi Coordination Committee holds first meeting

The first meeting of the Political and Diplomatic Coordination Committee of the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council was held today in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs of Oman's Foreign Ministry and Dr Saud Mohammed Al Sati, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations in line with the directives of the two countries’ leaderships and their aspirations to further the interests of their peoples.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting was held in preparation for the first meeting of the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council, headed by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries.

The meeting was attended His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and officials from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
