Omani Embassies in India, Hungary and Brunei celebrate National Day
The Embassies of the Sultanate of Oman in the Republic of India, Hungary and Brunei Darussalam celebrated the Glorious 54th National Day with special receptions attended by officials and prominent figures from various sectors, as well as Ambassadors of friendly and brotherly countries.
In New Delhi, Oman's Ambassador to India, Issa Saleh Abdullah Alshibani, hosted a reception attended by Suresh Gopi, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Tourism, along with several Indian officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of international organisations and public and private institutions.
Guests commended the developments taking place in Oman and expressed hope for further cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic and tourism sectors.
In Budapest, Oman's Ambassador to Hungary, Mal Allah bin Mahmoud bin Shaaban Al Balushi, hosted a reception attended by Hungarian officials, Ambassadors of friendly and brotherly countries, and Omani students studying abroad. In his speech, he highlighted the firm principles of Oman's foreign policy, which focus on dialogue, understanding, and peace. He also emphasised the strong bilateral relations between Oman and Hungary, expressing a desire to strengthen mutual cooperation in various fields.
In Bandar Seri Begawan, Oman's Ambassador to Brunei, Erma Said Mohamed Alkathiry, organised a reception to mark National day. The event was attended by officials from Brunei and Omani citizens.
In her speech, the Ambassador praised the renewed renaissance in Oman and the exceptional bilateral cooperation between Oman and Brunei, especially as this year marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The celebration featured documentary films showcasing Oman's history, heritage and economic growth, as well as a cultural exhibition displaying traditional artefacts and photographs of key heritage, tourism and investment landmarks.
All three celebrations reflected the spirit of Oman and its ambitious vision for sustainable development. They highlighted the depth of bilateral relations with host countries, underscoring the importance of enhancing international cooperation in economy, culture, and tourism to achieve mutual interests.
