Oman welcomes meeting of Palestinian factions in China

The Foreign Ministry has expressed Oman’s welcome of the meeting of Palestinian factions in the People’s Republic of China during the past few days and the signing of the resulting “Beijing Declaration”.

In a statement, the Ministry emphasises the centrality of uniting the Palestinian ranks and empowering them by all political and diplomatic means to push for an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

It calls for justice through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in a manner consistent with the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people for freedom and peace and the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.
