Oman welcomes ceasefire announcement in Lebanon

The Foreign Ministry has expressed the Sultanate of Oman's welcome for the announcement of a ceasefire in the brotherly Republic of Lebanon.

In an official statement it appreciates the international efforts made to reach this agreement. It also underscores the necessity of ending the brutal war waged by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip and their ongoing attacks on the West Bank.

The Ministry reaffirms Oman’s firm stance calling for de escalation, an immediate end to the war and the implementation of relevant international resolutions.
