Oman to host special session of GCC Ministerial Council

An extraordinary session of the Ministerial Council of the GCC will be held in Muscat tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), said that the convening of the special session was at the request of the Sultanate of Oman, the current chair of the Gulf Cooperation Council. It followed consultation and coordination with the GCC's member states, he added.

The Secretary-General said the extraordinary meeting will consult among the GCC countries about the  developments and serious Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip.
