Oman supports regional peace and security amid escalating situation in Yemen

The Foreign Ministry is following with deep concern the recent military escalation in the sisterly Republic of Yemen and its resulting humanitarian repercussions and civilian casualties. It expresses its regret over the ongoing military actions, which exacerbate the suffering of the Yemeni people and increase instability in the region.

The Sultanate of Oman affirms its firm position calling for peaceful solutions through dialogue and negotiation, warning of the repercussions of the continued military approach on the security and stability of the region.

In this context, the Foreign Ministry calls for addressing the roots of the crisis through sustainable political solutions, to secure peace, stability, and development for the peoples of the region. It urges all actors to assume their responsibilities in maintaining calm and avoiding further escalation.
