Oman sends condolences to Turkey and Syria over earthquake
The Sultanate of Oman has sent its condolences and sincere sympathy to both the friendly Republic of Turkey and the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic over the devastating earthquake that occurred in south eastern Turkey, near the Syrian border.
At least 500 people are reported to have been killed by the powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck in the early hours of Monday.
In a Foreign Ministry statement, Oman expressed its solidarity with the families of the victims and the Turkish and Syrian peoples, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
