Oman participates in five nation meeting on Yemen

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Foreign Ministry, participated today in a “Quint” (five nation) meeting on Yemen, which discussed supporting peace efforts and reaching a comprehensive diplomatic solution to the conflict in Yemen.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America also participated in the meeting, which was organised by the British Foreign Office and chaired by Amanda Milling, Minister of State for Middle East Affairs at the British Foreign Office. The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Yemen attended the meeting as a guest.

The Sultanate of Oman was represented in the meeting by Ambassador Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs and a number of officials in the Ministry.
