Oman LNG signs supply agreement with Total Energies

Oman LNG has signed an agreement with Total Energies to supply it with approximately 800,000 metric tons of liquified natural gas (LNG) annually over a period of 10 years starting from 2025.

The agreement enhances cooperation between the two companies and reflects the efforts of Oman LNG to support the national economy through the development of strategic partnerships and the delivery of LNG from Oman to the global market.

Hamed Al Naamany, CEO of Oman LNG, stated that the sale and purchase agreement strengthens the presence of Total Energies in Oman and builds on cooperation over the years, now translated into a long-term deal.

He added that the agreement also enhances the growing partnership with Total Energies, not only as one of Oman's leading partners but also as one of the major contributors to Oman LNG.

He said that the agreement enhances the reputation of Oman LNG as a reliable LNG supplier, demonstrating its ability to manage its commercial operations efficiently and so provide safe energy to customers worldwide.

Julien Pouget, Total Energies' Senior Vice President for Exploration and Production in the Middle East and North Africa, expressed his pleasure at extending the partnership between Total Energies and Omani LNG through the agreement, adding that it marks an important step towards enhancing the company's global LNG portfolio in line with its commitment to providing flexible and sustainable energy.

He said that the deal also reflects broader cooperation with Oman, reaffirming the commitment of Total Energies to contribute to the economic growth of the Sultanate through diverse and ambitious energy projects.
