Oman joins Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia

Oman has signed the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) to consolidate cooperation and strengthen strategic partnership.

The agreement was signed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs, on the sidelines of the meeting of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) foreign ministers, which is being held in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh.

The treaty which brings together more than 40 countries that are partners with the ASEAN nations, seeks to achieve the principles of friendship and enhance cooperation and peace between member states.
