Oman at GCC–Central Asia Strategic Dialogue
The Sultanate of Oman took part in a ministerial meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Central Asian countries, held in the sisterly State of Kuwait.
The Omani delegation was led by Khalid Almuslahi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, received the Undersecretary separately, during his reception of the heads of delegations to the Strategic Dialogue meeting.
Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, also met with the Undersecretary to review relations between the two countries as well as the meeting's agenda.
The Undersecretary also had a separate meeting with Ahmed Gurbanov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance that cooperation. They also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
The Undersecretary also met with Nasreddin Ismatullo, First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, to discuss areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
The meetings were attended by Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Ministry's Department for the GCC and Region, and Ambassador Saleh Alkharusi, Oman's Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, along with a number of officials from both sides.
