Oman investment opportunities showcased to US Congress officials
Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, met officials from the US administration and Congress to discuss the development of investment and trade partnerships between Oman and the United States.
The Minister and his accompanying delegation also met representatives from American companies in the fields of healthcare, information technology and tourism.
They showcased the investment opportunities available in Oman aligning with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Discussions included how to maximise the benefits of the Free Trade Agreement between Oman and the USA.
During the visit, the Minister met with a number of Omani students studying in the states of New York, Washington and Arizona. The delegation also visited several US cities.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the United States organised a reception at the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Centre in Washington.
Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef spoke about the objectives of the visit, the desired outcomes and the key investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Vice President of the US Export-Import Bank spoke about the strong relations between the two nations and praised Oman's efforts to boost economic cooperation.
The delegation then toured the centre learning about Omani culture and its rich history as well as viewing some of the centre’s Omani heritage exhibits.
